First, I always look at the record with the highest open interest. This is where the most probable outcome will be. The open interest for July 17, 2017 $2 calls is 4202, which is 420,200 shares. This is higher than any open interest in the past and current future. If there is a buyout or collaboration, those who bought the calls won the lottery and those who sold the option get the short end of the stick. If I had to choose which party had the more likely chance of being correct, I would choose the one paying for the privilege over the one collecting. Perhaps this is why there is so much bashing on YMB, someone wants to buy cheap calls...
