Yes, the patent infringement suits against Allscripts, WebMD, and Quest were stupid to begin with. Cost millions of dollars and invalidated the patents
But then he announces an appeal. Then delays the appeal twice while MMRF runs out of money. I didn't tell him to sue. I didn't tell him to appeal. These were the geniuses grandiose plans. The company business was put on hold for 6 months awaiting his triumphant appeal. He did it. Not outsiders. Not me.
So now with the two foundational patents invalidated, with MMRF on the hook for costs and fees (payment of which was delayed until the appeal was resolved), and with MMRF completely out of cash, what is the plan now?
Someone buying out MMRF? Nope, patents have proven to be flimsy. CEO has a huge bonus package payable to him in a buyout. Company is a complete financial mess. CEO has proven himself to be unreliable, unfocused, and lacking credibility.
