Actually, no I wouldn't. I wouldn't have made the Manziel deal just because he is too caustic. Anybody with any insight could have seen that he will self destruct. And the Tiger "deal" wasn't a deal at all. WAY too expensive. Frankly I have always questioned the effectiveness of "celebrity" or pro athlete endorsements. They are always too expensive and in the end, there is absolutely no way of knowing if they have brought in even one dollar in increased sales. Obviously there is some brand name recognition which comes with them, but any increased sales are unquantifiable.

Ultimately however, they were spending money they didn't have for endorsements they didn't need..................so no, no matter how well either of these two performed, they were both bad deals for the company and shareholders.
