Why is "shorts" a generalization while "longs" is not? They are after all, two sides of the same coin, are they not? They both refer to a group of investors, just on opposite sides.
I just don't understand why it's ok to say something like, "Shorts are losing their butts" but not ok to say, "Longs are losing their butts".
