True, there was a hype bubble in MJ and the bubble burst. It's also true that Penny stocks are very risky and traditionally a poor investment. However, there's one important difference about the MJ sector. Since it is still federally illegal, MJ businesses can't get bank loans and there are almost no VC's who are willing to invest in them. Consequently, virtually all MJ companies have to trade on the OTC to raise capital. A bunch of them will likely fail but a few of them will survive and become dominant in this new sector. The trick is to determine the best of breed with the business plan most likely to succeed.
