I think a lot could be what I said earlier :
Institutional Strategy
One will secure Capital Loss against Gain,
and can re-enter in 30 days.
The other will be set for future Capital Gain.
Short Covering
IQ-Investor may be right about Short Covering
as well.
Now, I never said Short Covering was the sole reason. It was an "as well" comment to a possibility of some of the action, as mentioned from another poster. You know, people throwing out ideas and possibilities regarding the huge volume, that at this time is unexplainable. But could there have been some Short Covering? Well, it happens every day. So maybe percentage wise it was some of today's action, LMAO-?.
Maybe I won a prize.
But I don't know what LMAO means.
And I got so many of them!
My last comment on BarChart, and even BigCarts, is that they are both outdated. They look and work the same as they did when I first saw them. Definitely not for traders or active investors ... or for anybody if you want my opinion. There is so much more out there, or right here at iHUB (plug). But you know what they say: You got to crawl before you run.

I bet today's volume thingy was nothing more than one Institution swapping with another, to make themselves look pretty. I mean, with that kind of volume, if it was something else the stock would either be at ZERO, or TEN dollars a share !
That's where the experience comes in. Kind of like figuring out the best way to use (or not use) an outdated website.
