An article about a breakthrough in hydrolysis costs & efficiency

"Invention may make hydrogen a real green contender"

a way to hydrolyze water using an alloy of iron and nickel on both electrode poles

the first time anyone has used non-precious metal catalysts to split water at a voltage that low

the new, low-cost process for splitting water into hydrogen and oxygen operates at an "unprecedented" 82% efficiency

That could make using hydrogen ... a rival for expensive battery systems.
