Why was this stock once $180?

I've been looking into this company for a little while and my interest was piqued by the positive phase II results for ublituximab combo study. 95% ORR in high risk CLL is impressive.

But looking at a 5 yr chart, something is very concerning. In 2010 the stock started out at about $180 and very rapidly descended. Then it proceeded to steadily decline to under $5 within about 18 months. Then there were a few reverse splits that didn't seem to help the stock price at all.

I usually ignore things like this that happened 10 years ago, but this all happened within the last 4-5 years. Although the stock price is steadily increasing the past 2 years, I'd still like to know what happened 2010-2012.

Can anyone give me a quick summary? Thanks in advance.
