You shouldn't have to ask. After telling shareholders that a major, material event was going to happen - they owe the shareholders and marketplace and update - GOOD OR BAD.

The problem is they don't 'DO BAD', instead they say nothing.

They should tell the truth "We are still negotiating a potential deal but there are issues we have as yet not been able to resolve and there is no guarantee it will happen despite our efforts"
