Review of Black Forest : Hidden Object Mystery

Hey guys. I don't have private messaging. I didn't sell. Havn't had time to create a video since work picked up in the oilfield over here. Game looked fine to me. I just have a few issues and some other good feedback

The Good Stuff:

-Very good artwork. They stuck to their gameplan that focuses on their target audience.

-A range of minigames. Offers variety. It's really needed as hidden object games are hard to capture and maintain an audience compared to most genres. Just when you begin to get tired of the core game, they throw in these minigames for an extra wake up kick. There is different ones so it keeps the audience curious as to what they will unlock next if they continue through the core gameplay.

-The crafting is well done in a player's standpoint. Fast, easy, and "mostly" free. In order to unlock new areas, you need to utilize the crafting system. U'd have to be a very impatient person to have to speed up the process. I didn't get too far so they might have added longer crafting timers (good for us).

-The lore seems good enough to capture younger audiences.

-The way they implemented the ranking system is quite unique compared to most games these days. There is a 5 star ranking system for each core gameplay level. Except instead of being ranked on an individual game on your performance, You build up enough points from continuously playing. So everyone can get 5 stars (eventually) Each time you get a star, you unlock something new.

-The tutorial is well made and shows off their premium currency. They also introduce you to the premium currency in the game by giving each new player a handfull of it and helps them realize the how fast you can get through the game by using the currency (My favorite). This method is very common in the mobile game industry.

The Bad Parts (my opinion only lol)

-There's just not enough reason to spend that much money on this game due to the lack of quality premium services. Sure kid's might want to, but then they have to go through their parents for approval (and for a small amount if we are lucky). It's hard to justify speeding up the crafting in this game or giving your account more energy to continue playing. Speeding up progression is way more intriguing (imo) when you are competing with other people and playing in "clans, guilds, teams" to strive for excellence. There isn't a competitive aspect in this game unless you want to play against the AI (grim reaper).

-Crafting is just too fast. Unfortunately, I don't think it would have a good impact if they changed it because playing through the same levels over and over again to finally get something new becomes tedious. If everything slowed down, I don't think kids would even want to play if after a while.

-The minigames have huge cooldown timers and are not fun and significant enough to want to spend premium currency to refresh. The rewards just are not that satisfying. It's just so hard to think people are going to shell out money for a minigame that lasts a few seconds sometimes and doesn't help them much at all the progress through the game.

This is all just my opinion. Don't take it to heart everyone. I just wanted to give honest feedback.
