The chart has nothing to do with any of it. Anything paid above par is a debt based on the capital you put up. You put up a $1 when she was trading at a $1 you now have one share plus $1 x Par owed to you. should you sell your $1 and receive $.001 in return you have lost the difference but should you reinvest again the dollar minus par you will now receive a thousand shares and nothing is owed to you out of the outstanding share count.


So the authorized share count at par must balance with the assets of value hence your market cap is what the street determines the value of the assets in question that is equal to the authorize share value including treasury stock.


The street doesn't always get it right.
