Mike, I too am not well versed on finding info either on line or via the analog route from Federal Government entities. Over the last year plus I have made both sorts of inquires on a different subject matter [for info in place years ago] and on a recent single cycle of initiating an inquiry on my part to receiving a response has taken some 3+ months and that response came up negative, requiring me to make a second response/request [same info] to . . . which will take another cycle of undetermined length. The initial cycle began as an on-line request, which then moved to an analog protocol.

There have been severe cut backs to virtually all Federal Agencies due to budget issues as we all are affected. My point being, is that who knows how long that patent process takes now, and what sort of back log may have been 'created' due to what looks to be happening in the Federal Agencies being burdened by the across the board cuts we have seen.
