Thanks...As few in Ireland were fooled by Rev Ian Paisley, nobody should in the U.S. should be fooled when a politician here proclaims, "we will take our country back". We needn't worry about ISIS or other outsiders who wish to tear the U.S. apart, we have our very own home-grown racists for that.

I'll share a brief story with you - I am a Patient Advocate in my local hospital and more than once I have visited with a black patient who told me they appreciate the respect the staff shows them...For me, a white Irish person, I am always taken aback that someone would even mention being respected - it's something most, if not all of us, take for granted. Frankly, when I hear this it makes me sad - sad that apparently these patients are not automatically respected, and it stands out when they are.
