"The endpoint indicated that continuing enrollment was not likely to demonstrate an overall therapeutic benefit. Data analysis is ongoing and the full results will be made available as soon as possible."

Does this mean that the trial is confirmed a failure and continuing enrollment would only result in more failure? Or does this mean that a conclusion has been made as to the success or failure and that further enrollment is determined to not significantly impact the statistics of the trial? If so, it could still be seen as a success?

In short, is further enrollment just not needed for a conclusion, or is further enrollment ill-advised as it will lead to more deaths?"

IMO:Compare & contrast with 4/22 PR re non human primates. Really an unnecessary PR,unless ulterior nonevident nonlinear motive.
