There was an interesting comment on OPB's noon program Wens. They were interviewing people in the marijuana business in southern Oregon, and one of the legislator from Salem. Mentioned; that a number of million dollar marijuana growers had filed for bankruptcy in Washington. They attributed this to the small percentage of the purchase price that actually got to the grower ($1.50-$3.00 /gram). While Washington prices are high, taxes take a large portion of this.
There was also some thought that there is over supply in Oregon even now. Some thought that California would be next, but as interstate commerce in MJ would not fly they saw no immediate solution. Maybe in 5 years of so ...
