I understand, but there are not enough freely traded shares for a take over, they would have to buyout the majority shareholders who want a much higher price, so the current price seems irrelevant to someone looking to buy the company at this point in time. Now, if they were interested in selling, which they do not seem to be at all, then yes, the current market price matters substantially.
