Yep ..... Last year I bought an 8KW generator that will run on gasoline/propane/natural gas. I installed a manual transfer switch which can handle 7 circuits. I selected the 7 most important to feed with the generator.
Natural gas will usually keep flowing as long as there's not a huge area that's affected. Also, if you are within earshot of others you'll want to keep an eye and ear on your generator. Even good neighbors can turn mean in a crisis!
