I saw a similar (or the same) AP article in today's Providence Journal. It mostly addressed already approved immune therapy drugs for a lees common form of lung cancer and also for melanoma.

Re: lung cancer..in the completed study (600 patients) the drug Opdivo increased the life expectancy from 9 months to 12 months. Tumors shrank in 20% of Opdivo patients vs. 12% without the drug.

The article also mentioned that "immune therapies can play a broader role in more common cancers including lung, liver, colon and head and neck"
