That's half a day's volume on some days! Who's selling that much and to whom? It's my understanding that MMs could sort of "set aside and accumulate" shares for a whale buyer like that over the course of a few days or weeks. Is that true?

If so, that could explain how 500k shares are so quickly available and don't move price.

Also, couldn't 2 institutions make an over the counter agreement with each other to transact shares? That could easily explain a 500k sale not moving pps couldn't it? Maybe we are seeing 500k transactions only long after they took place, say hours after.
