Again, daily short is meaningless. The majority of trading in OTC penny stocks is marked "short" because MM's keep little to no inventory but are required to fill trades. So they sell you stock which they do not own which means the trade is "short", but then cover that position immediately - within seconds. And often those trades are not even by done a human. Computers do most of it now, automatically.

And this may come as a surprise, but exchange trading can also involve short sales in the same manner. It is not limited to the OTC. It is how markets work, and those daily numbers mean absolutely nothing.
