I wouldn't make much of hiring ads. From my understanding of things, sometimes when ppl are internally moved to a new position, HR has to technically make a new position and publicly post it. This could be one of those. Maybe someone in house is being "hired" to the position. Also, how can you just stop business on a possible buyout. You keep on keeping on until a buyout is officially announced.
