Although I was in the Marines.My unit was on a U.S.Naval ship. The U.S.S.Trenton. We went through the Suez Canal down through the Red Sea around the Gulf of Aden into the Arabian Sea and up into the Gulf of Oman and then on up into the Persian Gulf off the coast of Iraq. We would float around while helicopters landed on our ship with supplies. We would unload the supplies from the helicopters and load them onto our trucks. Then we would head into the Persian Gulf wherever they needed us at and take our trucks to shore and set up a base camp. Haul supplies up to the front lines and deliver our loads and come back for another load. When we were all done we would get back on the ship head back out to Sea and do it all over again. We just kept unloading and reloading and hauling supplies where ever we were needed.
