JohnC80 .. your explanation of pps behavior for the last few weeks (>50% shorting with low volume, pps drop on good news) is enlightening and convincing. Thanx.
2 questions remain, nevertheless: 1. if shorts are afraid they won't be able to cover, why don't they just cover now with pps so low, and 2. your premise supposes that shorts are acting in unison, as if they all obey a unified command rather than many disparate traders acting on their own.
Just thinking out aloud. If you have a chance, let me know your thinking on this.
Otherwise, the conspiratorial theory of "dark pool" shorting by ZTE and/or G to lower market capitalization may have some kernel of truth?
