TUCSON (KGUN9-TV)-- A new blood test is in the works and it's very promising. According to KTVT, Baylor and TGEN, an Arizona genetic research lab, have partnered together to create a blood test that can diagnose cancer months or even years out.
It's believed patients undergoing annual physicals will be able to have what's called liquid biopsies. The blood screen is less invasive than mammograms or colonoscopies. Researchers think the test should be available in two to five years.
