Farmer's Business Network received $15 million in first round funding from Google Ventures, KPCB, and DBL Investors.
Lyft received $150 million from Icahn Enterprises, the holding company owned by Carl Icahn. Lyft intends to use the funds to deepen its U.S. presence and continue to develop its product and services.
Smarking received $3 million from Khosla Ventures, Slow Ventures, Procyon Ventures, FinSight Ventures, Fairstead Capital, Cheerland Investment, Pre-Angel, and DN Capital. Smarking plans to use its seed funding to expand beyond the seven major U.S. cities where it has clients today.
Bit Stew Systems received $17.2 million from GE Ventures, BDC Venture Capital, Cisco Systems, and Yaletown Venture Partners. The funding will be used to expand into Europe, enter into the oil and gas industry and add distributed energy resources to the grid-edge systems it tracks.
Sky Futures received $3.8 million in series A investment from MMC Ventures. This round has been reported as the largest drone-related investment in Europe to date.
