As to how to handle this: my opinion is that the government involvement is all about validation of the technology on a much quicker timeline than without the government. The government contracts are peanuts in terms of $$$'s.

Need to wait for the large scale consumer products to start using - i.e. pharma. And don't just think prescriptions - think of the Over-the-Counter meds like Tylenol or Motrin. This will take some time due to government (read FDA) approvals required.

A real kicker would be government (again FDA) endorsement of DNA tagging - especially at the pill level.

Another good kick start would be a company like Apple or Samsung starting to tag their products - that would spread APDN's story like a wildfire.
