Butanol can't be produced in a normal ethanol plant so that's the first error in the quoted info.

I have no reason to doubt you anymore than the quoted article but it is helpful to have documentation rather than edicts.

I will grant you I would rather live with a family of skunks under the house [as I did once for a time] than an organic chemistry lab next door but I never heard of anyone wanting to live next door to any plant producing poisonous, flammable and foul smelling products like, say an oil refinery or even a beer brewery.
