$JAMN - Corporate Essentials Hosts 'Morning Of Coffee And Culture' At NYC's Times Center

NEW YORK CITY -- One of the New York City area's largest office coffee service providers hosted 110 clients, prospects and associates at The Times Center here on May 15 for a "Morning of Coffee and Culture." Keynoting Corporate Essentials' early morning affair was world-renowned social media expert, author and public speaker Gary Vaynerchuk.

Parsippany, NJ-based Corporate Essentials organized the Morning of Coffee and Culture in conjunction with roaster Mother Parker's Tea & Coffee and Marley Coffee. Its mission was to enlighten business professionals about building a positive office culture in today's changing workplace, and to introduce them to Mother Parkers' RealCup capsules and socialize over a hot cup of coffee.

Corporate Essentials founder Judson Kleinman said the event came about as a way to support his company's mission to disrupt what people think about office coffee service. "Since the start of our rebrand last year, we have been focusing on offering products and services that help build a positive company culture," Kleinman said. "Bringing in Gary Vaynerchuk to speak with clients and prospects was something we viewed as a way to offer additional insight on what it takes to start creating a positive company culture."

Vaynerchuck brought the house down with his lively and interactive take on what's needed to fuel a positive workplace culture. He is the founder of brand consulting agency Vaynermedia, which has offices in New York, Los Angeles and San Francisco. He has been named one of Forbes Magazine's "40 Under 40" and has more than 1.1 million Twitter followers; several of them are New York City-based social media and human resources professionals who attended the Corporate Essentials event.

The keynoter is also a New York Times and Wall Street Journal best-selling author, and has appeared on "The Tonight Show" with Jimmy Fallon, "Late Night" with Conan O'Brien and "Ellen," as well as MSNBC, CNBC, CNN and NPR. He signed copies of his book Jab, Jab, Jab Right Hook: How To Tell Your Story in a Noisy Social World for Corporate Essentials' guests.

Marley Coffee
KEEPING IT REAL: Marley Coffee chairman Rohan Marley (l.) and chief executive Brent Toevs team up with Corporate Essentials' Judson Kleinman to spotlight Marley's RealCup single-cup line.

Rohan Marley, chairman of Marley Coffee and son of reggae legend Bob Marley, was another special guest speaker. He shared the story of his company, which began in 1999 with his purchase of a 52-acre coffee farm atop Jamaica's Blue Mountains, one of the world's most prized coffee-producing regions. The company adheres to sustainable, organic and Fair Trade farming practices, and its single-cup coffees are packaged in the RealCup capsules. Coming soon from Marley Coffee will be the recyclable Eco-Cup, developed in conjunction with Mother Parkers.

Twenty-year-old Corporate Essentials, which serves more than 1,500 clients in the New York and New Jersey metro-area, became a RealCup distributor in January, after ending its longtime distribution agreement with Keurig.
