22nm Silvermont beats the 14FF A57 S6 in that benchmark which shows that all those nice powerpoints that Intel showed on its introduction had some validity

I'd guess more likely it is showing up a problem with ARM's big-LITTLE handling of the race to sleep scenarios which is what PCmark tests. Or maybe the extra memory is doing something useful - I'd like to see a good analysis. Other tests show the performance on straight computation it is at best perhaps 60% of the Samsung phone. My guess is most of the work was either handled by A53's as a switch to the A57's wasn't triggered or the switching is rather too big an overhead. I don't think those tasks take up enough time nowadays to be noticed much on a fast smartphone but the benchmark result should be good for some sales.
