Thanks for your reply, Brent,

I completely agree: very thin profit margins. The customer base isn't there. The outcome of the Allard trial will be interesting...But I totally agree that the holders here are holding out for recreational MJ. I think that is on the horizon, though, with the incredible media publicity on MJ, effective regulation in the States, etc.

I do like Bedrocan, but I'm not sure that I'd call them the flagship: I know that TWD is holding a pretty tight minority of the 13K+ patients, as you've said. Perhaps a Bedrocan valuation is a bit too optimistic for SL, at least on the licensing. Furthermore, they'll have to get a license to sell... So that will be yet another hiccup in the process...
But I can't foresee the market being 'flooded' with LPs overnight, given the current pace of HC, unless the Allard trial really gyrates things...

I hope you're incorrect about the move to rec MJ... I was unduly surprised by the Alberta verdict on the premier... Perhaps the most conservative of provinces voting in NDP? It's uncanny! There are plenty of Harper haters...So perhaps shortly after October we'll have some serious changes in that department. I suspect that the Conservatives are wising up to the weed game as well: alongside the oil conundrum, I think MJ is a pretty key component in the election; they would be wise to warm up to it. From some of the more recent articles I've read, I believe they're realizing that they CAN do that, at least to a degree, while maintaining their strict vigilantism...

But in doing that, they've really F#$KED things up with the MMPR / MMAR thing.... Are pharmaceutical-grade facilities necessary to produce pharmaceutical-grade MJ? Probably not.

I like what you're saying about exportation; after all, that IS one of their goals: to become a leading local & international supplier.

Anyway, I'm used to holding the bag on things like this, unfortunately! Ha ha! So I'll be around these parts for a while. The whole sector will get a boost eventually, and things will be re-hyped like they were in the beginning --- but who knows how long that will take? Buy on fear & sell on greed, I guess!
