Very light warm dry air absorbs water "fine mist low volume" which makes air heavier so it sinks down the tube, drawing more warm dry air in the top and down to the misting nozzle where process is continuously repeated thus accelerating the air mass speed 30ft/sec/sec until terminal velocity is achieved. the amount of water is minimal in volume and it takes 1 psi to lift water 28" so 2000' would require 857psi + say another 43 psi to create nozzle pressure, so 900psi "a good pressure washer makes 5000" so the pressure is not an issue.
what limits the power producing potential is temperature and humidity of the air and its ability to hold the water. thus at night and in the winter months the the air is cooler and would hold less water...
as the air mass travels down the tower it cools and atmospheric pressure change reduce the ability of the air to hold the water and most of it drops out and and is recycled back into the sytem to be pumped to the top again.
The opposite effect is used in the EVOMF tower.....using a glass canopy they heat, dry and lighten the air so it flows UP their tower...
