OK, I actually am from Madison, where their RD is based. Although there a numerous companies (most of them small and rather obscure) run by former UW professors who wanted to do just that on their own, this one is a bit different. Just look at the Management and Board of Directors. I am physicist so I cannot always differentiate between advanced pharmaceutics and Ibuprofen but my wife usually is well equipped to see through the cloud of stuff I do not claim to understand (She is a biochemist). From what I could understand their RD operation is quite robust and if they are successful the potential is absolutely huge. One thing I am quite confident in is a fact they are not a shell operation nor a technology carrier between academia and industry. It would be unusually dumb to cross paths with UW Madison WARF(Wisconsin Alumni Research Fundation).
