Hi Ayock, the big picture is that no system is 100% defect free. A great way to reduce defects is to reduce the situations in which defects are introduced.

I think the media has paid way too much attention to this once incident and have not paid enough attention to the murder rate and crime rate and the conditions under which the police operate.

Let's take it to an extreme. If there were no crime, there would be no arrests. If there are no arrests then there are no problems transporting individuals to police stations.

So the big picture shows that its the people committing the crimes that create situation.

And we could point to social issues, but as a resident of Maryland, I know what a huge percent of my 8% tax rate goes to Baltimore. Not to mention sales taxes and many other taxes. We provide Baltimore with housing, food, and education. So blaming the crime rate on poverty is not a very good excuse. Especially the murders.

The focus really needs to be why are over 200 people in Baltimore being murdered every year. Not an incident of police brutality that has happened just once in the past 30 years.

Fix the murder rate and you will fix the police brutality.

See how looking at the big picture works ?
