I was surprised and pleased to see that Barrick did not exercise their back-in rights over PG.TO's purchase of part of the South Arturo mine from Goldcorp, as just about everyone, including me, thought they would.

I guess Barrick is too focused on shedding debt these days.

This means PG will join the ranks of producers by the end of 2015, with Hardrock also going into production in 2016 or 2017. I bought my first shares of PG in 2006 and got more when they took over Roxmark -- remember them? -- and thanks to some trading along the way I have my cost basis down to about a buck. With some help from the POG, I can see a return to $5 in the next few years.
