a win for Allard will knock the wind out of the sales of medical mj companies - it will be the edibles for health in Canada that wins out, using CBD's without the buzz. I would love to get medical mj for all my aches and pains but don't want the buzz that goes with it, just the relief. I smoked enough j's in my life and now prefer a Scotch or two and I don't want to fly to the stars with this new stuff.

Personally I am hoping if recreational use comes in they find a way to control the strength. I am an old guy and starting smoking pot when I was 19 but it was only 2-3% THC and it was like having a nice couple of glasses of wine but the mind/body numb you get now. Thinking of people driving under the influence with no way to detect it bothers me, and hopefully there is a way to test for it. But I also don't think criminal convictions are fair either as alcohol/tobacco is a far worse drug(s). Happy medium is the way to go. I keep reading about Alberta and I guess that is earth shattering news - they won 12 straight elections in Alberta with a conservative government but reading more deeply Alberta has a Muslim mayor in Calgary who also was voted best mayor in the world so the times they are changing for sure. The articles I read with the Muslim mayor and now a socialist government is a big change for Alberta from what they called the corporate old boys club.
