I thought this was a crime? Oh silly me. It's only a crime when not one of their own do it then they are prosecuted. What was I thinking?

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) - The state judicial discipline commission has censured a part-time judge for under-reporting her income, which allowed her to collect extra unemployment benefits.

The Commission on Judicial Conduct released its order on Friday in the case against Holly Johnson. She had worked as a judge for King County District Court and Federal Way Municipal Court in 2013.

But in June 2014, the Employment Security Department issued a notice saying Johnson had under-reported her income 20 times during her time on the bench.

The department says she withheld facts to obtain benefits she wasn't entitled to receive.

The commission found that she had violated the judicial code of conduct. Johnson stipulated to the censure and agreed to never seek or serve in a judicial office unless she secures permission from the commission.
