Must be fascinating few weeks for (FNMA) shorts

While the FNMA stock price solidly marches along, shorts must be really worried about what (IF) the AIG trial could do to their positions.

AIG trial has nothing to do with FNMA litigation.

BUT... for sure the AIG trial could ignite the booster engines for FNMA.

That much, the shorts know. FNMA stock can only take so much of a beating with their trillion $$ assets, but the AIG outcome can cause devastation for those holding short positions in FNMA. Those that are, are for sure watching the AIG outcomes with great anxiety.

Difficult situation indeed.
