YES BUTT SOME MM ACTUALLY PAID FOR THOSE SHARES

MM's don't pay for shares, they facilitate trades for brokers. Did the broker pay for the stock? Probably not. I had my broker clear a worthless stock from my account and they didn't give me a single penny for my shares.
