To clarify the confusion

ECOB is not advertising fire proof coatings. They are offering fire resistant coating. The whole goal is slow the rate of burn not to stop it. Firemen are dying in building collapses due to the fast burn rate of engineered wood products. This coating is gold for the building industry.

I will say again I'm an architect who deals a lot with building departments, and there will be in the near future nationwide code changes requiring all Engineerd wood products to have fire resistant coatings. I will reference simpson strong tie again (stock symbol SSD).... The hurricane wind regualtions and strapping requirements made these guys millions. This is just another movement waiting to happen, you heard it here first.
