$VMRI great news: Valmie Resources (VMRI) V-1 Drone Successfully Completes Maiden Flight, Marks Major Milestone

DENVER, CO / ACCESSWIRE / April 14, 2015 / Valmie Resources Inc. (VMRI) today announces it has reached a major milestone as its V-1 Drone prototype successfully completed its first flight. The landmark unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) lifted off from the test site while the engineering team on the ground closely monitored its progress and data stream.

"I heartily congratulate our development team for the V-1's significant first flight. We look forward to introducing best-in-class technology that will quickly capture market share and raise shareholder value," said Gerald B. Hammack, President and CEO of Valmie.

While in the air, the crew performed numerous assessments such as testing the calibration of the flight controller, evaluating handling characteristics at a variety of speeds, and testing the data being analyzed by the onboard data capturing system.

"The highly anticipated V-1 Drone has demonstrated exemplary performance and today marks the beginning of a rigorous flight test campaign," said Hammack. "The coming phase of trials will be dedicated to testing all operational systems and integrating our proprietary AIMD (Autonomous Intelligence for Mobile Devices) Platform, which also is in development."

Valmie plans to collaborate with Mexico-based Monitoreo Especializado Agrícola de Jalisco S.A. by supplying its commercial drone technology for the company's crop monitoring operations in Central and South America.

One of Valmie's focus areas is agriculture, among the most promising applications for UAV's. Data-hungry farm operators are seeking on-demand information in very high resolution on a frequent, continual basis. UAV technology, already in use throughout many areas of the world, helps growers' constant efforts to efficiently monitor their fields, mitigate crop stressors and manage crop development. Valmie's V-1 Drone is being developed to be used with a number of different "plug and play" imaging sensors, including thermal (infrared) and hyperspectral to collect field data visible and not visible to the human eye. These different sensors and algorithms allow operators to hone in on specific problems or information such as soil moisture or crop disease, for example, in the case of growers.

Along with the V-1 Drone, Valmie is in the process of developing its first-generation Software as a Service (SaaS) AIMD Platform. The AIMD Platform is Valmie's proprietary end-to-end solution designed to collect and send data from the unmanned vehicles' independent controller units back to a cloud-based modular resource network for aggregation and analysis. This platform will give drones and other unmanned vehicles improved communication abilities with remote hubs and other mobile devices. The AIMD Platform will have the capability to determine intervention thresholds, quickly route predetermined responses, communicate critical information to the operator, and in some cases deploy solutions in real time.
