Ex-Microsoft Designer Explains the Move Away from Metro



Fascinating Read. Microsoft customer tests really showed that the Metro was indeed a third rate Tablet/Phone interface. This was precisely my reaction in early 2013. And despite this Ballmer had the arrogance to force feed his third rate UI to its legacy user base. Ballmer was in love with his baby, and thought that he could leverage the Windows customer base and improve the market penetration of the Metro tablets and phones. He kept repeating the mantra of the "Metro" being the modern UI,which infuriated me and most legacy customers.

How could such a blind and arrogant man last as long as he did.
