I do not remember seeing one post, that congratulated a BP for expanding their portfolio in the FIGHT AGAINST CANCER. I'm a survivor and have lost several immediate family members to cancer. I know there are several on here who have fought,or are fighting cancer at this stage in time. Good, bad or indifferent to PPHM's success I find it puzzling that not one post remarks that strides are being made. Remarks may be posted how Bavi will help this,or help that, but not the actual potential of a rival company's success. IMO, that's your American greed because in the end your investment in PPHM APPEARS to be the only one that needs approval before another because Bavi is an add-on,so to speak, so please don't let another company have a potential breakthrough possibly without Bavi,or with Bavi at a later date. I invest to make money but I never begrudge another company, I may or may not be invested in, the right to succedd. That's tantamount to wishing failure,IMO!,to any number of life-saving therapies. Now bash away from all sides but I own PPHM and a bunch more just like it and may they ALL succeed. Sometimes you people should think before you post. Good day. carpe diem

PR, you raise some interesting questions and I am not sure there are any simple answers. While I will try and put forth my views I know for sure they will fall short.
First, most people invested in PPHM (or any other stock for that matter) are invested to try and make a profit from their investment. Profit is the primary driver, for me, and for most others I am going to assume.
Yes, of course there is the "do good for society" component, and if our investment can make us feel that, well that much the better. If our prime motivation was to "do good for society" then I suppose we could have given money to a charity or foundation whose prime purpose was such.
\For the profit component, we humans are wired to be competitive, and so subconsciously we want our investment to win, and competitors to "fail". Now that is the subconscious part. However I will bet that EVERY person on this board - no matter how negative they maybe about PPHM (or any other company) - wants a better treatment or cure for cancer or other diseases out there. I know it may be hard to believe but the same people that on the one hand want competitors to "lose" - as far as their investment is concerned, will welcome any and all advances that help improve treatment outcomes - irrespective of where they come from.
I guess simplistically (in response to a very complicated issue) the point being - just because one wants to win against competition from a monetary prospective, does not mean we want the competition to lose or fail from finding a better treatment option. Both these emotions play simultaneously - it is just that on the message boards which are aimed towards our profit motive, the competitiveness to win is more on display - and I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

Best wishes to you and others. May you all succeed in your fight. God bless and Cheers.
