Next Biometrics hires Acer VP of sales.

Next Biometrics Group ASA has named Campbell Kan, former president of PC global operations of Acer, the company’s new vice president of operations and Asia sales.

Based in Taipei, Taiwan, Kan will manage the Next Biometrics Asian sales team, as well as personally handle the major and strategically important Tier-1 accounts.

Prior to joining Next Biometrics, Kan worked at Acer where he worked his way from a software engineer to become head of global operations for Acer.

In this position, he managed Acer’s products, logistics, procurement and quality assurance functions worldwide.

Throughout his career Campbell has held key engineering and operations positions within ACER’s divisions handling PC’s, tablets, smartphones and Internet of Things.

Kan will draw from his previous engineering and operations positions within ACER’s divisions handling PC’s, tablets, smartphones and internet of things, to ultimately plan, build and manage growth of these same functions within NEXT Biometrics Group.

Previously reported, Next Biometrics expanded its organization with the hiring of top level talent from industry leading companies, including 10 new engineers to its existing teams in Seattle, Prague and Taipei.
