Here's my 1/2 cent...

1) Buy/Merge with Andalay Solar. They have a patented mount technology that streamlines the installation process. This will allow them to take advantage of their patent and license it to solar partners for integration into their panels like Andalay is doing with Hyundai. Their product is good but they have no installation channel like Sunvalley Solar does and like Sunvalley, they are too small by themselves to take the next step.

2) Look at using Coval Molecular Coatings products on panels as a way to enhance the performance AND keep the panels clean longer which slows the loss of performance due to dirt buildup. This also decreases maintenance time of cleaning panels. They talk a good talk about their product but testing is needed to prove the benefit. I've been the the headquarters and see the stuff in action. http://covalmolecular.com/

3) Merge with Real Goods Solar Energy to get access to their country-wide sales channel of distribution and installation. If they want to get outside of California, they're going to need someone that already has the experience and can take it to the next level. RGSE isn't doing so hot lately but they have the experience.

It's time to do something big in order to survive and growth needs to be in acquisitions/mergers because it takes too long to design and implement an organic game-changer in this market unless you have 10s of millions in research happening.

Did I read correctly that there are only 57 shareholders on record?
