Your device (phone or tablet) has to be running the Android operating system. So there is no APP compatibility with Windows.
Nope. Most of the apps are games. that's where the 'Play' comes in.
Further, when you first get your android device, you have to get a Gmail login and register your device with Google Play.
Google Play now knows your device's Android version and whether any app your interested in will work with it or not. For example: I'm currently looking for a video editor app and took a look at this one.
Note: It says it is compatible with some of my devices. I have an Android Phone and a tablet. It is compatible with my phone because it has a later version of Android than my tablet which is 3 years old. So
No. you can't.
Also note that most android apps are free (typically ad supported). The others are very cheap (no ads). $2.49 Seems like a fair deal to me for an app that is at least as powerful as boxed programs for Windows which could very well cost $70-$100.
Do you have a mobile phone? If so, what operating system does it use? If an iPhone, go to the Apple Store site. If a Windows phone, they have an app store as well. Key point is all of these are touch screen apps, so Windows 7 ain't gonna work. Even from the Windows app store. You would need Windows 8.1 at least, but I would wait for Windows 10 (this summer) which will work on touchscreen and classic keyboard/mouse interfaces.
