I'll tell you why.... because many want to be able to believe and trust that a CEO has their best interest in mind. It's in human nature to want to believe in people and especially a CEO who tells them everything they want to hear and they drink the kool aide and then defend them to the end. Why because he has taken their money and they ingested the kool aide and now they are in despair mode and just want to believe this CEO will restore their portfolios and bring back some dignity that was taken from them. NO ONE wants to admit to buying into a scheme... or bought into a guy they shouldn't have. But Dennis.. that's why there are measures to watch. The financials here have told one story and the CEO has told an equal and stronger opposite. That's why it becomes personal when you destroy trust. When human decency is compromised it's a brutal self realization especially with how the CEO got so personal from personal emails and solicitations and compensations all documented.
All Just my opinion.
