Over 20,000 attendees witness the future and reinvention of human-technology interaction

LOS ANGELES, April 6, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- AVT, Inc. (OTC Markets: AVTC) (www.autoretail.com), a leading manufacturer of automated retailing systems and custom vending machines, announced today that their new Social Cause-Driven Automated Systems were used by IBM at their recent international conference. Billed as "The Premier Cloud and Mobile Conference" in the world, over 20,000 people attended over 2,000 technical sessions, 42 tracks, 8 streams, and 3 general sessions.
The conference was so large that it took up residence in two major hotels, the MGM and the Mandalay Bay.
AVT specially designed systems for IBM to reward participants for completing social cause projects. Conference attendees were encouraged to fill bags with food for the hungry. After completing the service, the attendees were given a card with a UPC code that could be scanned by special readers built into the AVT machines. The machine recognized the code and dispensed a "Thank you for your service" gift to the conference participant.
"Our collaboration with IBM is another example of how AVT's technology is being utilized by top corporations as well as forward-thinking retailers and brand managers," said Wayne Salvino, President of AVT, Inc. "AVT is recognized worldwide as one of the leading sources of original thinking and innovation in self-service, automated dispensing platforms."
AVT not only supplied the systems for the IBM event, but also supplied manpower. AVT employees helped direct participants to the systems, which were located throughout the conference area, and provided assistance to keep the crowd in queue moving smoothly.
Salvino added, "We are proud that we were able to be part of this high-profile event, and create a fun, interactive system that was engaging and entertaining while meeting IBM's corporate goals."
