Look, it's not MY fault he's failed, for a DECADE, to deliver a single thing he's promised. It's not MY fault that he's been telling the same lie for 10 years (if not longer.)

I doubt anyone buying into Edie's failed promises is quite so sanguine about his failure to deliver on a single thing he's promised.
