I don't know about you, but I am not staring out of my windows through the daytime hours. I don't care what color they are, if they the ability for them to produce power I would be just fine with that. No one is saying you are gonna replace all your windows either.
The technology exists, and not in some SciFi movie. The glass, though is a dielectric is just a platform in which the conductive material is applied and through induction power can not only be transferred but transformed to a higher value.
Anyways, glass is a magnifier of light and induces heat, so another reason I am also ok with not having a clear window.
Heat that is generated is also an option for power conversion. Think about the micro processors that are powered by body temperature.
Not picking a fight, just adding to the conversation.
