I hate to say it but you are right. I think the only time to buy oil stocks will be when the players get through this oil glut. Right now there will be way more pain before things get better. Their are some great plays out there but will take time to weed them out. I still say we see many players dilute and even file for BK before we know who the stronger ones are. Right now I do like GST but still would not buy them yet. There is way more to the charts with the oil plays here as well. Oil will bounce back but this dip in oil will see way more pain going forward. In the past oil dips we did not have NEAR the oil production that we have seen in the US in the last 6-7 years. We drilled our selves into the biggest over supply that we have seen in 20 years. It will take many players going under and stopping drilling to cut real production. Also like you pointed out many cars are needing less oil changes and we have many electric cars hitting the market. I am not saying by any means oil is dead but for right now it will see more pain before things get better.
